In large petrochemical enterprises, flow measurement issues such as high-pressure natural gas (including bidirectional flow), steam (overheating, saturation), large-diameter kiln coal to gas (containing coal tar), and high-pressure CO2 gas-liquid two-phase flow measurement have always troubled measurement management and technical personnel.
Traditional orifice flow meters, nozzle flow meters, and precession vortex flow meters are not the best choices to solve these measurement problems due to the large pressure loss, severe wear and tear of throttling devices, inability to measure bidirectional flow, and difficulty in disassembly and cleaning; Vortex flow meters and Ba type flow meters (such as Annubar) also face challenges such as wear, blockage, scarring, fear of vibration, and difficulty in calibration, which greatly limit their application in the above-mentioned applications.
